The position will report to the Director of Regenerative Medicine, and will involve participation in an interdisciplinary research team dedicated to the characterization of the biology of adult stem cells in vitro as well as in vivo animal models of injury including myocardial infarction, stroke and graft vs. host disease. The candidate should have a clear record of productivity, and have expertise in stem cell biology and cell-based assays. The position may require overseeing the activities of a dedicated team of researchers, and hence applicants with group management experience will be preferred. |

Previous experience with adult stem cells is a plus. The candidate should have expertise in cell culture, signal transduction pathways, cell-based assays and image analysis. Demonstrated ability in design of experiments as well as execution is essential. This individual will be responsible for the development of both in vitro and in vivo based assays and the establishment of a robust siRNA and shRNA platforms. |
