Mr. Ryan joined Athersys in January 2022 and serves as the Head of Quality. Prior to joining Athersys, he led Quality Assurance and Quality Control organizations for gene therapy and biopharma manufacturing companies including BridgeBio Gene Therapy, Abeona Therapeutics, Shire Pharmaceuticals, and Baxter BioPharma Solutions.
Mr. Ryan has a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University and earned certifications as a Six Sigma Black Belt and Certified Quality Engineer from the American Society for Quality.
