Mr. Russ joined Athersys in 2020 as Director of Supply Chain and in January 2023 was promoted to Vice President. Mr. Russ has extensive supply chain and operations experience in the manufacturing, food service and consumer health and wellness business sectors. Prior to joining Athersys, Mr. Russ was Director of Supply Chain for a private consumer health and wellness firm and was a Manager at Ernst & Young LLP and Deloitte Consulting. He worked with Fortune 500 clients globally to develop supply chain strategy, distribution and other optimization projects. He was a key leader for the supply chain teams in consulting and industry as he led improvement initiatives and supply chain transformation activities.
Mr. Russ has a Bachelor of Arts in History and Classics from The Ohio State University and a Master of Business Administration in Economics and Finance from the Case Western Reserve’s Weatherhead School of Management.
